Experience

Senior Database Developer

Duties included requirements gathering, data modeling, detail design, implementation and user training for five applications.

Major accomplishments:

  • Client/Server project tracking system. Data model (approx. 140 tables), project data entry and definition, completion estimates and status report generation. Integrated with two commercial-off-the-shelf packages: a web based employee time collection system (Journyx) that provided project codes, staff hours and activities and the corporate CRM (CustomerSoft). Data from the CRM allowed project managers to monitor current sales activities.

  • Two applications to assist sales staff to scope and develop initial project costing (updating client aerial imagery databases).

  • Installed, configured and built a suite of custom reports for the time collection system (Journyx).

  • Client/Server application to build and maintain employee HR data and the company wide phone list.

Senior Programmer/Analyst

Duties included Oracle, Ingres, and Access application development (user requirements, design, coding, and deployment); Oracle and Ingres database administration (installations, database design, creation, and backups). programmer documentation, testing/debugging and report generation for in-house Oracle Forms Production Tracking System.

Major accomplishments (design and implementation)

  • Electrical and Gas Utility Facility Attribution System (consisting of four Oracle applications totaling over 100 forms supporting approximately 80 tables).

  • Production User Work “Console”. Enables users to produce daily online time sheets, receive work assignments, check data in and out from the central file server, view project status and statistics, and generate helpdesk requests. Oracle application consisting of 20 forms and 15 tables. Tables resided in two Access database files. Connections made via multiple ODBC sessions.

  • Production Tracking System. Oracle application consisting of 45 forms supporting 60 tables. Saves and tracks project files, documents, and labor hours. Produces management and project status reports, including percent complete. Interfaces with production floor “console” Access database files via ODBC.

  • Asset Inventory System. MS Access application consisting 100 forms supporting 42 tables. Saves and tracks company hardware, software, licensing, authorizations for expenditures/purchase orders, and office equipment.
